Frequently asked questions

Are these tools free?

Yes. Every tool is free. No account, no payment.

Do I need an account?

No. Open a tool and use it.

Are my files uploaded?

No. Every tool works inside your browser, so your files never leave your device.

Why does a tool not work in my browser?

A few tools need a newer browser feature. If yours does not have it, the tool tells you what is missing. Updating the browser usually fixes it.

Where do the Sri Lankan rules and rates come from?

From the official sources each page lists: the Acts, Inland Revenue Department notices, the Central Bank of Sri Lanka and the other bodies that publish them. Every Sri Lanka tool says when its rules were last checked and against which source, and several let you change a rate if the law changes first.

Are the results official?

No. The calculators are estimates to plan with, worked out from the published rules. Your payslip, your bank or the tax office has the final figure.

Will more tools be added?

Yes, this list keeps growing.
